Along the street you will find a lot of furniture shops. It is a market for carpenters who make furniture of all kinds to suit different tastes.
Many movies and plays were set in Mohamed Ali Street or narrated a story about musicians or dancers living there. Some of the famous works are Mohamed Ali musical starring Farid Shawky & Sherihan and Sharea ElHob movie starring Abd El-Halim Hafez & Sabah.
